Lauren Smith
Team Leader
Lauren Smith is a senior bioengineering major with a passion for tissue engineering and bioprinting. Lauren is an active member of the Biomedical Engineering Society and the Tau Sigma Honors Society. After graduation Lauren hopes to get a job with a bioprinting company and help pioneer the 3D-printing of human organs.
Cristhian Perez
Technical Engineer
Cristhian is a senior at George Mason University studying bioengineering, with a concentration in signals and systems. After completion of his degree, Cristhian plans on attending medical school and intends on becoming a cardiovascular surgeon.
Cydney Dennis
Technical Engineer
Cydney Dennis is a senior bioengineering major with a minor in neuroscience. She is enthusiastic about neuroanatomy and the 3D printing of organs. Cydney is the current president of the National Society of Black Engineers and a member of the Biomedical Engineering Society. After graduation Cydney hopes to get her PhD in tissue engineering and advance the field of functional 3D printed organs.
Michelle Dickerson
Team Manager
Michelle Dickerson is a senior bioengineering major with an interest in focusing on improving rehabilitation therapies for patients suffering from neurodegenerative diseases. Michelle is a research assistant in George Mason’s sensorimotor lab, and is an active member of the National Society of Black Engineers. After graduation, Michelle plans on furthering her education by entering a PhD program concentrating in Neural Engineering.
Megha Luthra
Technical Engineer
Megha Luthra is a senior at George Mason University in the school’s honors program pursuing a degree in Bioengineering/pre-health. Megha is an active board member of Patriots for Health Assistance and has conducted research in the bioengineering department’s medical imaging lab at George Mason University. After graduation, Megha hopes to go to medical school.
